　ライオン と ロバ が、いっしょ に かり に いきました。
　A lion and a donkey went hunting together.

　ライオン の ぶき は つよい こと で、ロバ は あし が はやい のが ぶき でした。
　The lion’s weapon was its strength and the donkey’s weapon was its swiftness.

　いろんな えもの が とれました。
　As a result, they were able to catch a various kinds of animals.

　すると ライオン は ぜんたい を ３つ に わけて、ならべて から こう いいました。
　The lion divided them into three and said,

「さいしょ に、３ぶん の １ を わし が とる。
“I’ll take one-third of them first.

　それ は わし が おうさま だからだ。
　It’s because I’m the King.

　あと の ３ぶん の ２ の うち、はんぶん は いっしょ に かり に いった もの の わけまえ として、とうぜん わし が もらう。
　Of course, I’ll take another one-third as a share for the one who went hunting with you.

　さて、のこった ３ぶん の １ だが、・・・おまえ が これ を とる つもり で ぐずぐず していると、ひどいめ に あうぞ。
　Well, about the other one-third, if you hang around here trying to take it, you’ll get hurt.

　だから、さっさ と にげて ゆけ」
　So, get out of here now.”



　なに を する にも、あいて が じぶん の じつりょく に ふさわしいか どうか、よく かんがえ なければ なりません。
　Whatever you do, you need to figure out whether your partner’ s ability and your ability are compatible.

　じぶん より つよい もの と ともだち に なったり、いっしょ に しごと を する と、この ロバ の ような こと に なるかも しれない からです。
　If you make friends or work with somebody who is stronger than you, you might have the same result as the donkey did.
