One day, they decided to take a bath.
“I’ll go first! “
said hasty carrot, got in the tub first.
But the bathwater was too hot!
The carrot tried to bear it with his face all red in the tub.
And a carrot turned red ever since.
Now it was the burdock root’s turn to get in the tub.
‘’Oh no, this is burning,’’ said burdock root.
He doesn’t like things hot, so he got out of the tub without even washing himself.
And a burdock root turned black ever since.
Finally it was the daikon’s turn.
“Wow, this is a nice bath” said daikon.
He was the last one to get into a tub, so the bathwater had become nice and warm by then.
It was such a nice bath, he washed his body and became pure white.
And a daikon turned white ever since.
