　イヌ が ライオン の かわ を みつけて、それ を ずたずた に やぶりました。
　A dog found a skin of a lion and tore it up.

　それ を みた キツネ が、イヌ に いいました。
　A fox was watching it and said to the dog,

「もし、この ライオン が いきている と すれば、その つめ の ほう が おまえたち の は より も つよいんだぞ。
“You know, if this lion were still alive, its nails would be stronger than your teeth.

　かわ で よかったな」
　Thank it was just a skin.”



　ちから や めいよ ある ひと が、その ちから や めいよ を うしなう と、
　When a person who is powerful or in an honorable position loses its power or honor,

　いままで そんけい してくれていた ひとたち にも バカ に されます。
　even people who had respected them get to look down on them.
