　むかしむかし、あるところ に、とても き の つよい おとこ が いました。
　A long time ago, there lived a man who was very aggressive.

　あるひ の こと、おとこ が やま で しごと を している と とつぜん おそろしい ひとくいオニ が あらわれて、
　One day, when the man was working in the mountain, an ogre suddenly appeared in front of him,

　おとこ を パクリ と のみこんで しまいました。
and the ogre snapped him up.

  でも、き の つよい おとこのひと は、すこし も こわがりません。
　However, since the man was very aggressive, he didn’t get afraid to be inside the ogre.

「ほう、これが オニ の のどか」
“Hmm, now I see how the throat of the ogre like.”

　おとこ が さき に すすむ と、あかいかべ に かこまれた ところ へ でました。
　As the man moved forward, he found his way out to a enclosed space surrounded with red walls.

　ふと まえ を みる と、うえ から ひも の ような もの が さんぼん ぶらさがっています。
　Suddenly, he looked at his front, there were three things look like a string from the upper part.

「なんだ、これは？」
“What are those?”

　おとこ は、いっぽん の ひも を ひっぱって みました。
　The man pulled one of the strings.

　その とたん に、オニ が おおきな クシャミ を したのです。
　Just then, the ogre gave a loud sneeze.

「は、は、はっ、はくしょん！」
“A-a-a achoo!”

(なるほど、これ は クシャミ の でる ひも だな)
“I see. This string triggers him sneezing.”

　おとこ は、もういっぽん の ひも を ひいて みました。
　The man pulled the other string.

　すると オニ は、おおきな くち を あけて、
　Then the ogre opened his big mouth,

「わっはっはっは、わっはっはっは」
“A-ha-ha-ha. Ha-ha-ha-ha!”

と、わらい だした の です。
and the ogre burst into laughter.

(おもしろく なって きたぞ)
“Things are getting interesting. ”

　おとこ は、さいご の ひも を ひっぱって みました。
　The man pulled the last string.

　すると さっきまで わらっていた オニ が、きゅう に なきはじめた の です。
　Then the ogre who was laughing up until just now burst out crying.

「うぇーーん、うぇーーん」
“Boo-hoo-hoo, boo-hoo-hoo.”

(これは おもしろい。クシャミ の ひも に、わらい の ひも に、なき の ひも か。
“This is really fun. These are the sneezing string, the laughing string and the crying string.

　・・・もし、いっぺん に ひも を ひっぱったら どうなる だろう？)
　… What if I pull all of them at once?”

　おとこのひと は さんぼん の ひも を いっしょ に にぎりしめる と、おもいっきり ひっぱって みました。
　He grabbed hold of all the three strings and pulled as much as he could.

　さあ、たいへん です。
　Now that is an trouble for the ogre.

　はくしょん！
　Achoo!

　わっはっはっは。
　A-ha-ha!

　うぇーーん、うぇーーん。
　Boo-hoo-hoo, boo-hoo-hoo.

　オニ は くしゃみ を したり、わらったり、ないたり と おおさわぎ です。
　He was making a big fuss over sneezing, laughing, and crying.

　ですが おとこ は、ひも  をひっぱる のを やめません。
　However the man did not stop pulling the strings.

　オニ は くるしくて くるしくて、いま にも たおれて しまいそうです。
　It was too suffocating for him and he was almost fall over.

(さあて、そろそろ でる と するか)
“Well, it seems like it’s time to get out of here.”

　おとこ は さんぼん の ひも を はなす と、クシャミ の ひも を ちからいっぱい ひっぱりました。
　The man released his grip on the three strings and pulled the sneezing string as much as he could.

　は、は、はっ、はくしょん！
　A-a-a-achoooooo!!!

　オニ は ものすごい クシャミ を して、くちから おとこ を はきだしました。
　The ogre had a violent sneeze and that made him to spew out the man out of his mouth.

　おとこは、くるしそう に なみだ を ながしている オニ に いいました。
　The man talked to the ogre who was suffering with tears,

「やい、オニ よ。もういちど のみこん で みるか？」
“Hey you, ogre,? would you like to swallow me again?”

「ブルブルブル。とんでもない！」
“No, no, no! No way! ”

　オニ は くび を ブンブン と よこ に ふる と、あわてて にげて いきました。
　He shook his head from side to side and hurried to run away from there.

　そんなこと が あってから、オニ は もうにど と にんげん を たベなくなった と いうことです。
　Since then the ogre never eat people again.
