A group living in a nagaya (Japanese traditional row house) visited a riverside, where cherry blossoms were blooming, for cherry blossom viewing party.
After viewing cherry blossoms, the group got hungry and began eating some sakura-mochi (a rice cake that is wrapped with a preserved sakura leaf) that they have brought with.
There was a voracious man in the group. He was eating sakura-mochi with the outer ( leaf ).
Then his wife, who was sitting next to him, told him.
“My dear, you should eat it with peeling the outer.”
Then he answered.
“Oh, okay”
and he ate it with feeling the water of river without peeling the outer.
