A rich man moved to a place right next to a tanned leather shop.
The rich man could not help but hate the smell of a tanned leather.
”Could you please move somewhere?”
The rich man begged the shop owner every day.
”Well, I can move out if you say so, and I will in a while.”
The shop owner replied to the rich man each time, but he never moved out.
In the meantime, the rich man got used to the smell of the tanned leather,
and stopped begging the shop owner to move out eventually.
This story tells us that
people come to feel nothing for what they do not like after getting used to it.
