「わすれー草、わすれー草は、いれらんかえー」
“ Forgettable herb, forgettable glass, do you want forgettable glass?”

と、花売りの売り声が聞こえてきました。
　a man heard the sales clerk in flower shop was saying.

　わすれ草とはユリ科の多年草で、葉は細長くて、夏に大きなユリに似た橙赤色の花を一日だけ咲かせます。
　Forgettable glass is the Orange Daylily in another word and a herbaceous perennial of the lily family.
　The leaves are long and narrow. In summer they bloom with orange red flower only for one day.

「ほう、わすれ草とは珍しい名だ。おい、どんな草か、わすれ草を見せておくれ」
“ Hmm, forgettable glass is a strange name.” said the man.
“Hey, can you show me what is it like?”

「はい、ただいま」
“Yes, sir ” the clerk said.

「何だ、葉っぱばかりしげって、つまらぬ草じゃないか。これは何か、薬にでもなるのかい」
“Well, it looks like just only leaves are growing” “it is not fun to see at all. We can use this for medicine instead ?” the man asked.

「はい、わすれ草を干した物をタバコにして吸えば、苦労をわすれ、夏には暑さをわすれ、冬には寒さをわすれ、年を取っても年をわすれます」
“Yes, if you smoke the dried one, you can forget everything like hardness of your life, hotness in summer, coldness in winter and you can forget that you are getting old even if you get old ” the clerk told.

「そいつは不思議な草だな。おもしろい、買うとしよう。して、値段は？」
“That is interesting. How much is it?” the man asked.

「はい。えー、・・・」
　花売りは、しばらく考えて言いました。
　The clerk started thinking and said,

「・・・いくらか、わすれました」
“I forgot how much it is”.
