While a lion was taking a walk on the beach, he saw a dolphin drifting in the sea with his head out of the water.
“Hey, buddy! Why don't we form a union together?”
The lion suggested.
“You know, you're the king of the marine animals,
and I'm the king of the land animals.
I think it would be such a good idea for us to form a union.”
The dolphin delightedly agreed to the suggestion.
In the meantime, because this lion had been having a combat against a wild bull before forming the union,
the lion asked the dolphin to help him in the combat one day.
The dolphin tried to get out of the water to help the lion,
but he could not manage to get out to the shore because dolphins are marine animals.
“Darn it! How come you double-crossed me?”
the lion accused the dolphin.
Then the dolphin said,
“You can't blame it on me.
I am supposed to live in the sea by nature.
No matter how hard I try, I can't walk on shore.”
The lion said, “But we formed a union.
If I were you, I wouldn't double-cross a friend that I formed a union with.”
The dolphin said, “Oh, is that right?
If so, you would jump into the sea and help us if we had a combat against a whale, wouldn't you?”
“Well..., that's a...” The lion held back
When we make friends, we also have to pick out ones that will help us in time of emergency.
