　キツネ が ヒツジ の むれ に まぎれ こんで、いっぴき の、まだ ちち を のんで いる こヒツジ を つかまえて たべよう と していました。
　A fox sneaked into a flock of sheep, trying to eat the little baby lamb that still needs a milk.

　そこへ ヒツジ の ばん を していた イヌ が やってきて、キツネ に どなりました。
　There came a shepherd-dog, shouted at the dog.

「なに を しているんだ！　その あいた くち は、こヒツジ を たべる つもり か！」
“What do you think you’re doing! Are you going to eat the little lamb with your wide opened mouth?”

「い、いや だな。わたし は かわいがって いるんですよ。
“Don’t be silly, I am just being nice to this lamb,” said the dog,

　キツネ の かわいがりかた で、この こヒツジ と あそんで いたんですよ」
“you see,this is the way I treat lambs friendly.”

「・・・そうか。では、こんど は この おれ が おまえ を かわいがって やろう。イヌ の かわいがりかた で」
“Well then, let me show you my way of treating you friendly!”

　イヌ が キツネ に キバ を むく と、キツネ は あわてて にげて いきました。
　When the dog bared teeth, the fox ran away quickly.



　この おはなし は、ペテンし や へま な どろぼう に むく はなし です。
　This story is for the goofy frauds and thieves.
