A trapped crow asked Apollo
“If you will help me out of this trap, I will lit an incense and worship you.”
He promised the god, so the god helped him.

However, once he was saved, he forgot his promise.
The crow was caught in a trap again.
This time, he asked Hermes instead of Apollo.

“If you will help me, I will bear you offerings”
said the crow, and asked for help.
However, Hermes said,
“You fool.
How can I trust someone who neglected the promise made with Apollo.”
If you are ungrateful to the ones you owe, others will stop helping you.
