　One day a lion was taking a nap.

　そこへネズミが来てライオンの背中へ登り、

　ネズミは震えながら、一生懸命に頼みました。
　The mouse was begging for his life, shaken.

　The lion was in silence for awhile.

　ライオンはネズミが可愛そうになり、黙って放してやりました。
　But then he felt pity for the mouse and let him go without saying anything.

　何日かして、ライオンは猟師に捕まってしまいました。
　A few days later, the lion had caught by a hunter.

　丈夫なロープの首輪をつけられて、ライオンは逃げる事が出来ません。
　He was bound by the strong rope and had nowhere to run.

　ライオンがガッカリしていると、あの時のネズミがやって来て、

　このお話しは、どんなに強い者でも、時には弱い者に助けてもらわなければならない事がある。
　Even the strong one has a moment to be saved by the weak one.

と、いう事を教えています。
　That’s the moral of this story.
