　ヒツジかい が オオカミ の こ を みつけて、だいじ に そだてました。
　A shepherd boy found baby wolves and he took care of them.

「こうして おけば、こいつら が おおきく なった とき に、おれ の ヒツジ の ばん を してくれる だろう。
“If I raise these wolves, they will shepherd a flock when they grow up.

　いや それだけ でなく、よそ の ヒツジ も さらって きて くれる だろう」
　Or more than that, they may take sheep from other farms.”

と、かんがえた から です。
　That was the reason he raised the wolves.

　ところ が、この こオオカミたち は おおきく なると、
　However, when the wolves grew up,

　すき を みて まっさき に ヒツジかい の ヒツジたち に おそいかかりました。
　they attacked the boy’s sheep when they found a chance.

　ヒツジかい は、さんざん に くいあらされた ヒツジたち を みて、うめきごえ を あげました。
　The boy groaned out seeing his sheep killed by the wolves hideously.

「なんと いう こと だ。
“Oh my goodness.

　こども だから と いって、オオカミ を たすけた とは。
　I was stupid enough to save the wolves

　なんと バカ な こと を した ものだ」
　even though they were children.”



　わるい ひと を たすける のは、
　Saving the bad one means

　じつ は、その ひとたち が まっさき に わたしたち を いじめる こと が できる よう に、せっせ と ちから を つけて やる のと おなじ こと です。
　it is the same as that we help them to raise their power so that they can attack us first.
